So today after driving around nearly all of SF in a 6 hour marathon taxi-fest I finally was hungry enough to turn off my driver status and find some food. I had ended up in the avenues and decided to use Yelp to assist me in finding nearby tasty food. One of the first listings I saw was for Uncle Boy, and a tasty burger really sounded good just about then. So off I went. Luckily I was only a few blocks away. So this was around 2pm on a Sunday, and this part of town was pretty quiet (if such a thing can be said about any part of SF). I found a parking spot in front and went on in. Uncle Boy is a very small little burger joint. There are some small tables inside but not many. They have a restroom for customers and it is in reasonable shape. As you probably know by now, I don't care for wrecked bathrooms, as they are a sure sign of indifferent management and lazy workers.

The service was great. The young lady taking orders was also the cook and she made a very good hamburger. You can watch them cook if you like since the place is so small. I ordered a Cowboy burger which is:
1 grilled Angus beef patty, 1 slice of American cheese, 2 strips of bacon, and 2 crispy onion rings topped with our cowboy sauce all in a toasted bun. $7.49 / Meal $10.59.

It was sort of on the small side as burgers go, but not so much that I was disappointed. I very much enjoyed it actually. Though next time I'll ask for more cowboy sauce. If you order the meal you get fries and a coke. I only got the burger as I was not super hungry.

Maus Scale 1-10 (10 being unbearably awesome)
Location 7
Parking 7
Access 6
Ordering 7
Seating 5
Service 7
Punctuality 8
Food 7
Average 6.75
(keep in mind this is an average of very different service qualities. If I score Food a 10 for example and the average score is a 5 or 6 due to parking or location, it is still work trying if you like good food).

*please remember, those of you that are the kind of people that can't grasp gradual scales and only see black and white, that scoring a 9 or 10 is very difficult.

As always I like to tip between 10-20% on a scale based on quality of service. So even if you are a crappy waitperson, you will still get 10% (unless you were a total douche).
